Witch Piluca: The first spell Author Interview

Witch Piluca looks like a wonderful children's story. Do you plan any more?
It's a story of my mother so we could do 10 or 20 more. She has a lot of imagination. But now I'm immersed in the next book that will be a bit of "self-help for children", will help them to become aware of the world around them.
It will be a special book, I have always liked this type of books (self help, motivation) and children, so I will put the two worlds together.
What age group would like your book the most?
I am guided by the age of my daughter, now she is 8 years old, so 8 to 10 years would be okay.

Did you do all your own illustrations with Witch Piluca?
Yes, all the illustrations and color are mine. I had a great time drawing them.
What are your ambitions for your writing career? Full time? Part time?
My intention is to dedicate myself full time in the creation of books. I know my future is there. I think everyone can offer something of their own to help. This is my contribution.

When did you decide to become a writer?
As I said this story is from my mother. I recorded it with the mobil and developed it giving it shape. There I realized that apart from illustrating I can write.
When writing Witch Piluca did anything stand out as particularly challenging?
Everything has been a bit challenging, first the style of illustration, I wanted to make the characters with cartoon style that seemed to leave a cartoon series. The background wanted to do with spots, no line. And finally the entire layout and export of the files that amazon requested.
I have learned a lot from the whole process.

How did you come up with the story of Witch Piluca?
It's a story my mother told my daughter to have fun with, told her a story every week from age 4 and now she's 8, so imagine how many stories there are.
One day the girl told the story to the friends of the class and the mothers of the girls asked her what library they could buy. And my mother told them that the book did not exist that it was an invented story. So we decided to create it.
What do you like to do when not writing?
Being with my daughter and also drawing, reading comics and motivational books, watching movies, series and playing tennis.
How can readers discover more about you and your work?
In my web page (www.davidrovira.es) I will inform of the books that are going out. From there you can contact me. I also have the author page of amazon (https://www.amazon.com/David-Rovira/e/B06XK9KS7V/ref=ntt_dp_epwbk_0) from there will also be all the news. I guess I'll have to make myself an artist facebook page.
